Cocotaxi saw the light of day back in 2007 when childhood friends Alex and Fred decided to share their record collections with the Stockholm club-crowd. The idea was to offer club-goers bass driven music, be it dancehall or hiphop, carribean dance music or african dance music, London or Detroit. The result was, and still is vibrant and multicolored club nights.

Global bass, with its many sub genres, has by now grown into a strong musical movement, and Cocotaxi has been a part of the inner circle of the movement since day one. Their productions has been released on labels-, and been played on radio shows and clubs, from all over the world.

Cocotaxi organized club Cocoloco (rip) which was important for the Stockholm club scene. It offered guest dj’s and artists from around the globe.
They have played with/opened for such great names as Dead Prez, Major Lazer, Mr. Vegas, Ward 21, Terry Lynn, Heatwave, the Very Best, Daniel Haaksman, Cousin Cole, Kazy & Yo Majesty, Gappy Ranks, Cobra Krames..
